- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, fieldsets, tables, buttons, and links.
- A skip link and keyboard-operable navigation, shape controls, allowance controls, forms, details, and print actions.
- Visible focus states, descriptive image alternatives, titled calculator diagrams, and text captions for visual relationships.
- Error summaries that receive focus and identify the fields that need correction.
- Responsive layouts, 16-pixel mobile form controls, touch targets of at least 48 pixels, and support for reduced-motion preferences.
- A one-sheet print result designed to preserve inputs, outputs, formulas, assumptions, and the calculation boundary.
Testing and target
The project aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA where applicable. Automated checks are combined with keyboard review, multiple viewport sizes, browser runtime monitoring, print-output testing, and manual inspection. Automated scores are useful evidence but are not treated as proof that every assistive-technology experience is barrier-free.
